Purpose: As part of a team of volunteers, packers fill boxes with produce once a month for delivery to neighbourhood sites.
Duties:
• Works with a team of volunteers to sort produce into individual orders
• Handles food gently and hygienically while placing them in boxes
• Assists with set-up and clean-up
Qualifications:
• Able to commit 4-5 hours or more per month
• Comfortable working as part of a team of volunteers
• Reliable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Physically able to bend and do light lifting (10-15 lbs) for 4-5 hours
• Physically able to bend and do heavy lifting (15-25 lbs) for box loading
• General interest in food, health and community is an asset

Site: 1105 Webbwood Drive (off of Lorne Street) Sudbury Food Bank Warehouse
Transportation: bus tickets provided upon arrival; own vehicle
Reporting Relationship: Good Food Box Packers report to the Program Coordinator
