The Sudbury & District Good Food Box program is always on the lookout for new host sites throughout the City of Greater Sudbury and surrounding communities. Host-sites are an essential component of the Good Food Box program as they allow Good Food Box participants to access the program in their local neighourhood or community.
Host sites play a key role in:
- Promoting the program to community members
- Collecting payments from participants at their host-site
- Sending the payment from their host-site to the Sudbury Good Food Box Coordinator
- Coordinating the distribution of their host-site boxes
Host site locations are typically places in the community where people often gather such as community centres, daycares, and workplaces. The Good Food Box Program Co-ordinator and the Good Food Box Committee support the host sites in their delivery of the Good Food Box program, but sites also need to designate a volunteer or staff person to act as Host Site Coordinator for their locations.
