Bin Washing

Purpose: As part of a team of volunteers, bin washers clean the Good Food Boxes once a month in preparation for packing. 


• Sort, wash and dry Good Food Boxes with mild cleaning agents
• Assist with setting up workspaces for packing day
• Assist with breaking cardboard, sweeping, mopping, as needed

• Comfortable working as part of a team of volunteers
• Reliable
• Physically able to bend and do light lifting (10-15 lbs) for 4-5 hours
• General interest in food, health and community is an asset

Timeframe: Third week of the month, Tuesday (9:30am-11am)

Site: 1105 Webbwood Drive (off of Lorne Street) Sudbury Food Bank Warehouse

Transportation: bus tickets provided upon arrival; own vehicle

Reporting Relationship: Good Food Box washing volunteers report to the Program Coordinator.
